Volta Trucks, the leading all-electric commercial vehicle manufacturer and services provider, has announced the appointment of Shift Electric Mobility and STS Sydhamnens Trailer Service as its Certified Service Partners in Sweden.
This strategic move comes after Volta trucks accelerated its market launch plans for Sweden, with trucks set to hit the roads in mid-2023. The selection of these two Certified Service Partners is crucial in providing comprehensive service and maintenance coverage to support future customers in the region as part of Volta Trucks’ Truck as a Service (TaaS) offering.
Shift Electric Mobility, a prominent commercial electric vehicle specialist in the Nordics, will contribute its expertise in electric mobility aftermarket services. With highly trained technicians specializing in high-voltage and battery-driven vehicles, Shift Electric Mobility offers fleet technical support, spare parts distribution, safety training, and EV education.
STS Sydhamnens Trailer Service, celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2023, is one of Scandinavia’s largest nationwide commercial vehicle repair and maintenance chains. With 13 workshops spanning from Malmö to Luleå, STS provides a wide range of services for heavy trucks and trailers, including calibration of tachographs and alcohol locks, damage repair, wheel and axle measurement and alignment, and the repair and servicing of tail lifts. STS has extensive experience working with battery-driven trucks and transport vans for over five years.
As Certified Service Partners, Shift Electric Mobility and STS will play a crucial role in Volta Trucks’ TaaS offering, which aims to facilitate the seamless transition of fleets to electric vehicles, maximizing uptime and operational efficiency. The TaaS proposition revolutionizes fleet ownership, servicing, financing, and management for commercial vehicles.
