The trucks feature a 4,750 mm wheelbase and 7.2 m body length, accommodating up to 15 pallet spaces. Victor Falkenklev, CEO of Falkenklev Logistik, explained: “They fill the gap between vans and heavy-duty delivery trucks, and are exactly what we were looking for to electrify our daily deliveries for DHL in the center of Malmö.”

The vehicles’ M-battery pack configuration provides a range of up to 140 kilometers, suitable for routes averaging 20 kilometers with 20-30 delivery stops. Veho Bil Sverige, the regional importer, has equipped the trucks with additional entry steps and aerodynamic features including roof spoilers and wind deflectors.

Falkenklev Logistik’s sustainability initiatives include a solar park in Perstorp, established in 2022, which generates over one million kilowatt hours annually. The company has also developed charging infrastructure through its subsidiary, Rifil Laddpark, operating Sweden’s largest heavy vehicle charging station with 22 CCS2 charging points.

“We could run on diesel and make more money. But I just want to do whatever I can to make the transport industry more sustainable. Our experience so far has shown that this is possible,” said Victor Falkenklev.

Krister Thulin, Brand Manager at Veho Import AB, commented: “I see it as the perfect vehicle for this segment of electrically powered light distribution vehicles. That’s why we decided to bring the eCanter to Sweden. Even though Fuso is a brand that is not yet known on the local market, it is part of Daimler Truck and stands for a mature and high-quality product.”

The company plans to expand its electric fleet further, with additional charging stations planned for the Skåne region.
