MAN Truck & Bus has delivered its first Ultra Low Liner eTGX electric truck to automotive logistics specialist Duvenbeck, in partnership with Volkswagen Group Logistics.
The new electric truck will be deployed in Volkswagen’s plant logistics, with Duvenbeck planning to integrate up to 120 units of the MAN eTGX by 2026. These vehicles will operate across the Rhine-Ruhr and BeNeLux freight forwarding regions.
Friedrich Baumann, Chief Sales & Customer Solutions Officer at MAN Truck & Bus, highlighted the truck’s unique design: “The Ultra Low Liner eTruck has been developed specifically for automotive industry requirements. It is the only series-produced electric semitrailer tractor capable of pulling trailers with a three-metre interior height.”
Bernd Reining from Duvenbeck emphasised the company’s commitment to sustainability: “The MAN eTruck represents an important step towards emission-free logistics. It helps us meet customer requirements while protecting the environment.”
- A semitrailer height of 950 mm
- A short 3.75-metre wheelbase
- A range of approximately 500 kilometres
- Modular battery options with four, five, or six battery packs
- Power levels of 449 and 544 horsepower

Simon Motter, Head of Volkswagen Group Logistics, noted the truck’s significance in the company’s sustainability strategy: “This is part of our goTOzero impact logistics programme. In the long term, electric trucks are the most crucial lever for reducing co2 emissions in road transportation.”
The TIP Group is facilitating the truck’s deployment, with Oliver Bange, Vice President for Central Europe, stating their goal is to “equip customers with modern, environmentally friendly vehicles and support their journey towards greater sustainability.”
