The battery-electric light-duty trucks, each weighing 8.55 tonnes and featuring a 4,450 mm wheelbase, are equipped with a 129 kW electric motor and an L-size battery pack. The vehicles boast a range of up to 200km on a single charge and are designed for optimal urban distribution, combining compact dimensions with exceptional maneuverability.

Florian Schulz, Head of Sales, Marketing & Customer Services at Fuso Europe, highlighted the significance of the order. “The fact that Planway Logística, another major logistics company, has opted for the Next Generation eCanter demonstrates its suitability for inner-city distribution traffic,” he said.

Schulz further noted the strategic importance of the fleet’s electrification, emphasising the eCanter’s flexible charging capabilities and impressive payload capacity, which can accommodate 15 euro-pallets.

The FUSO Canter, with its six-decade legacy, has been a prominent player in the light truck market, with over 4.5 million units produced worldwide. Available in five weight classes and multiple configurations, the vehicle offers versatility across various operational requirements.

These electric trucks will be manufactured at the Mitsubishi Fuso Truck Europe plant in Tramagal, Portugal, continuing the brand’s commitment to sustainable urban logistics.
