Terraline’s EV500 truck is notable for being the first autonomous-ready, battery-electric Class 8 long-haul truck with a range exceeding 500 miles. The pilot project will see these trucks servicing Crowley’s Florida facilities in Fort Lauderdale, Jacksonville, and Miami, aligning with both companies’ goals to reduce freight transportation emissions.

“This agreement with Crowley is a significant step towards accelerating the adoption of electric trucks in the freight industry and meeting emissions mandates.”Graham Doorley, CEO and Founder of Terraline.

As Terraline’s first U.S. partner, Crowley will provide crucial feedback on the truck’s performance, aiding in the ongoing development of Terraline’s technology.

Crowley offers land transportation services across North and Central America, catering to both commercial and government clients with a range of logistics solutions. Recently, the company has focused on enhancing its brokerage activities as part of its strategic growth plan.

The introduction of Terraline’s zero-emission trucks will support Crowley’s efforts to implement lower-emission electrification improvements at its terminals and facilities, including onsite equipment.

“Our partnership with Terraline will contribute to our goal of achieving net-zero emissions across all operations. This pilot project represents a significant advancement in meeting our customers’ demand for innovative and sustainable logistics solutions.”Bob Weist, Crowley’s Vice President for North America Transportation.
