Farizon New Energy Commercial Vehicle Group (Farizon) and European logistics giant Duvenbeck Group have signed a memorandum of cooperation to focus on working together in the European logistics sector. Mike Fan, CEO of Farizon, and Hakan Bicil, CEO of Duvenbeck Group, signed the contract during the IAA Transportation 2024 show in Hannover, Germany earlier this month.
As part of the agreement, Farizon will prioritise logistics services provided by Duvenbeck in Europe. Duvenbeck plans to order 50 units of Farizon’s Homtruck for delivery next year, with potential for larger orders in the future. This marks Farizon’s first major order for electric heavy trucks outside of China and its entry into the European market.
Farizon describes the Homtruck as designed for global markets, with a focus on safety, intelligence, and efficiency. The company refers to it as a “zero-carbon heavy truck for the whole value chain”.
Farizon also announced plans to launch its SV electric van in Europe in Q4 of this year.
Farizon is a Chinese company specialising in new energy commercial vehicles. It reports having established China’s largest new energy commercial vehicle research institute and claims to be the first new energy commercial vehicle brand globally to reach 300,000 vehicles produced. The company’s product range includes heavy trucks, light trucks, micro trucks, light commercial vehicles, and buses, which it has exported to various international markets.
Duvenbeck, founded in 1932, is a European inland transport and logistics solutions provider. The company offers services including inland transport, contract logistics, and supply chain optimisation, with a focus on automotive, industrial, and agricultural customers.
Through this collaboration, Farizon aims to expand the use of new energy commercial vehicles in international logistics operations.
