Daimler Truck has announced the launch of RIZON, a new line of electric trucks rebranding its Fuso truck range for the US market.
RIZON’s first trucks, the e18L, e16L, and the e16M, will be available in three different configurations and options. These medium-duty battery-electric vehicles, ranging from 15,995 up to 17,995 lbs in gross vehicle weight, are capable of running from 110-160 miles for the L size variant with three battery packs and 75-110 miles for the M size variant with two battery packs on a single charge. The trucks are suitable for a variety of applications, including dry vans, flatbeds, landscape dumps, and reefers.
RIZON’s trucks incorporate passive and active safety systems, such as Active Brake Assist and Active Side Guard Assist, to help safeguard drivers, passengers, and communities. In addition, the brand’s vehicles can be charged by Level 2 AC charging (J1772) and DC Fast Charging CCS1 compliant systems.
Daimler Truck Financial Services provides flexible financing, and RIZON offers a class-leading warranty package that protects the powertrain, chassis and cab, for 5 years/75,000 miles and the high voltage batteries for 5 years/120,000 miles.
The RIZON brand is being launched in the US market through an exclusive agreement with Velocity Vehicle Group, which has around 80 global outlets. Velocity will provide a comprehensive sales and service network for RIZON’s products, in conjunction with dealers to be approved by Velocity, throughout the United States.
