Hyzon Motors has announced two key promotions in their senior leadership team. These changes come as part of the company’s strategy to develop and manufacture hydrogen-powered fuel cell systems and deploy fuel cell electric vehicles.
Jiajia Wu, who previously served as Chief Accounting Officer, has been named interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Hyzon. In her new role, Wu will oversee all financial operations, including financial planning and analysis, accounting, and reporting. Wu has nearly 20 years of experience in finance and has a proven track record in leading rapidly growing teams. Prior to joining Hyzon, she worked at UL Solutions and EY.
Pat Griffin, formerly President of Vehicle Operations, has been promoted to President of North America. In his new role, Griffin will oversee and manage Hyzon’s North American business regions, including full commercial, operational, and financial responsibilities. Griffin has extensive experience in developing heavy-duty and electric commercial vehicles and has held leadership roles at Crane Carrier Company and Fontaine Modification.
Hyzon CEO Parker Meeks expressed confidence in the new leadership team, stating, “Jiajia has been instrumental in driving the critical assessment of our financial operations, and Pat brings deep engineering expertise, market knowledge, and strong operational leadership, all of which will help accelerate the commercialisation of fuel cell electric vehicles in the North America market.”
Hyzon has also launched a search for a permanent CFO with a leading executive recruitment firm. These promotions come at a crucial time for the company as they continue to push forward in developing sustainable transportation solutions.
