DHL-052

The first video installment will examine how electrification and increased connectivity are transforming the automotive and logistics sectors. Key discussions will centre on the shift to electric vehicles (EVs) and the infrastructure needed to support this transition, as well as the sustainability efforts around battery life cycles and recycling.

“Automotive companies have to optimise their logistics processes to meet the increasing demands of this rapidly changing industry,” said Fathi Tlatli, Global Auto-Mobility Sector President at DHL. “With our approach and the expert voices involved, we want to intensify the discussion about the profound transformation the automotive industry is undergoing, driven by electrification and increasing connectivity. This requires more resilient supply chains that can cope with both unexpected peaks in demand and bottlenecks, such as shortages of critical components, delays in transportation, or disruptions in raw material supplies.”

The video series aims to offer insights into building resilient supply chains that meet the growing demands for sustainable solutions. DHL will also showcase its role as a strategic partner for EV logistics through its global network of EV Centres of Excellence. These centres specialise in seamless, flexible, and integrated end-to-end logistics for EV products, including batteries, electric motors, and automotive parts.

The full series is available here, and will conclude with a webinar in March 2025.
