Dennis Eagle the leading waste and recycling vehicle manufacturer in the UK, has announced the appointment of Keith Day as its new Managing Director.
He succeeds Kevin Else, who retired from the post in April after ten years of service. Day has been with the company for 21 years, and during this time, he has been responsible for Purchasing and Supply Chain, Engineering, and Project Management. For the past 12 years, he has served as Engineering Director.
Day expressed his gratitude to his predecessor for leading the company during a period of unprecedented change in the waste management industry. He acknowledged that despite the industry still undergoing this transition, the company has remained in a strong position to meet the challenges ahead due to Else’s leadership and vision.
Dennis Eagle, which is headquartered in Warwick, manufactures over 1,000 waste and recycling vehicles per year for both private sector contractors and UK local authorities. It also has a strong customer base in Scandinavia, continental Europe, and Australia. The company is a part of Terberg Environmental, and in 2020, it became the first original equipment manufacturer (OEM) to launch an all-electric, zero-emissions refuse collection vehicle. This move made it a market leader in the growing eRCV market in the UK. Dennis Eagle also opened a new production facility in South Carolina, USA, to manufacture trucks designed for the North American market.
