Commercial vehicle operators delivering to Bristol will be fined £100 per day for entering the new clean air zone in the city if their vehicles aren’t Euro-6 compliant. The charging zone is being enforced from 28 November 2022.
The Bristol clean air zone will cover the city centre and out to Spike Island. It will be in operation 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, but there will only be one fee for accessing the zone in each 24-hour period. If you run older trucks seven days a week into Bristol, the new CAZ may cost you £36,500 per truck per year.
Automatic Number Plate Recognition (APNR) cameras will enforce the zone by recording all vehicle movements in and out of the region.
