A pilot plant for hydrogen fuel vehicles in Exeter by 2026 has been proposed by the Exeter H2 Hub consortium.
Seeking government support, the initiative aims to supply fuel for utility companies, councils, and the public.
Tower Group, a prominent hydrogen developer leading the consortium, emphasized the importance of investing more in hydrogen infrastructure across the country.
The consortium comprises notable stakeholders such as Wales & West Utilities (WWU), the University of Exeter’s Centre for Future Clean Mobility, and clean vehicle innovator EMotive, among others.
While the plant’s exact location remains confidential, it’s expected to be near Exeter Airport. Plans will be presented to the East Devon District Council soon.
