As of the end of August, all Gasum filling stations in Finland have transitioned to selling only biogas, discontinuing the distribution of natural gas.

Juho Kurra, Head of Business, Transport Finland at Gasum, stated: “Heavy-duty transport operators in particular have requested a gas filling station in Rauma, as it is an important logistics hub. The region has a busy port and a lot of industry, including forestry. The station also serves transport traffic along the Finnish west coast very well, as it is located in the immediate vicinity of highway number eight.”

The new station aims to provide local companies with an option for lower-emission transport using biogas. Its location near Rauma’s port and industrial areas, as well as its proximity to a major highway, is intended to serve the region’s logistics needs.
