UK-based hydrogen truck manufacturer Hydrogen Vehicle Systems (HVS) has entered into a strategic collaboration with Chinese hydrogen fuel cell truck maker Guangzhou Hybot Technology Co. The two companies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly develop and promote hydrogen fuel cell trucks in the UK and EU markets.
Both companies will leverage their respective strengths to co-develop hydrogen-powered vehicles and optimise supply chain networks. The collaboration will focus on delivering high-performance, zero-emission commercial vehicles, enhancing safety, efficiency, and sustainability.
Key points of the collaboration include:
- Product development: Guangzhou Hybot Technology will handle technical aspects, while HVS will manage sales and after-sales services in the EU and UK markets.
- Supply chain: Both companies will work together to build a supply chain system based on Guangzhou Hybot Technology’s existing network.
- Market expansion: The agreement includes potential imports of HVS products into China and cooperation in exploring other international markets.
